Today is November, the 2nd of November, 2008. It’s the 307th day of the year.

The 1st quarter moon, currently in Sagittarius, will be void at 4:41 am, and enters Capricorn at 6:13 am.

Today, Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 am, at which time the clocks will roll back to 1:00 am.

On Tuesday, the moon will be void at 1:47 am, and enters Aquarius at 7:01 am. Tuesday is also Election day

in the United States. It will be interesting to see how a void moon through election day plays out.

Tuesday also marks the anniversary of the signing and sealing of the treaty with Tripoli, in Tripoli on 4 November, 1796. Article 11 of this treaty reads: “As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.”

On Friday, the moon is void at 4:33 am and enters Pisces at 5:43 am. Friday is also the chronological cross-quarter day of Samhain, though most people celebrate it on the 31st  of October.

On Saturday, the 8th of November in 1960, Arnold Crowther and Patricia Dawson were handfasted by Gerald Gardner. On the following day, they were married in a civil ceremony which attracted a great deal of attention. Patricia Crowther is one of the last priestesses initiated by Gerald Gardner and is considered his spiritual heir. The Crowthers were the authors of many books on paganism.

Ongoing, weekly:

Prayer Requests

Every Sunday
Time: 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Location: Your own home
Notes: Please answer this request post stating your reason for healing energy and/or prayers sent your way. Prayer requests can be asked for other than healing and for other than yourself.
A white candle will be lit for you on Sunday unless you request another color to be used. This is a group event so the more people involved the better. Feel free to join sending out energy. Always keep in mind that requests are always done for the highest good of all concerned. This may mean the outcome may be different than we hope for. The spiritual healing work we do is designed to work in harmony with other treatment modalities, not as a subsitute.

Repeating event:
2nd Saturday of each month
New Hampshire Seacoast Pagans have their monthly meeting at Karnan House in Portsmouth, from 2:00 to 6:00.
This is an informal gathering for Pagans. Most of us are from the Portsmouth Seacoast area, but all are welcome. We provide free coffee and tea, and usually somebody will bring some food. There’s no agenda – just hanging out, networking and good conversation.

Uncanoonuc CUUPS will hold a Protection Ritual at Myths&Maidens

Uncanoonuc CUUPS and Myths&Maidens invite you to attend this Protection Ritual.

We all need protection in our lives. Some of us need physical protection. Other people may need psychological protection from the stresses of life, where others may need protection from psychic attacks. Regardless of your need, this ritual is designed to help you achieve a shield of protection that will help you regardless if it is for physical, emotional, mental or spiritual protection.

The Full Moon will have just reached its peak a day before, and now begins her waning trek toward darkness. Imagine anything harmful leaving you…waning away just as the Moon wanes. Join us as we tap into the remaining energies of the Full Moon that resonate around us. Help us as we charge our crystals, stones or charms.

A special focus will be made for all people who are currently in the Armed Forces and for people whose job may place them in harm's way.

Bring a small stone or charm to be charged. Malachite is highly recommended as is Black Tourmaline and Black Obsidian, and Thor's Hammer. These items may be purchased at Myths&Maidens right before the ritual.

Event Location: 189 Kelley Street in Manchester
Event TIME Details: 7:00 pm
